About the Cottage:
Built in 2002, this is our personal cottage, we want you to enjoy it and and respect it as we do.
Kitchen - modern and fully stocked with all of the tools you need to prepare your favorite traditional dishes. Tea towels, dish cloths and dish soap supplied. You will also find salt, pepper, some spices etc. There is an extra fridge in the basement.
Bedrooms - 4 bedrooms, the master has a king bed and ensuite, 2 have queen beds and one has a double bed. All beds have mattress covers, pillows and blankets, extras in closets.
Baths - 3 baths, 2 full (one with shower & one with tub/shower) and 1 half bath. Towels and hand soap provided.
Screen Room - there is a screen room on the lower level for relaxing and watching the boats go by in the summer and dear in the winter.
Laundry Room - with washer, dryer and tub
Parking - there is ample room for a few vehicles.
BBQ and propane provided
2 fireplaces, one natural gas and one wood
DVD, VCR and Satellite dish
Swimming - wade in or jump off the dock. Gets up to apx. 80 degrees Fahrenheit by August.
Boating - The Trent Severn Waterway (TSW) offers excellent boating opportunities. This cottage is located between 2 of the most interesting locks on the TSW, Big Chute Marine Railway and Swift Rapids. Bring your own boat or rent at one of the local marinas. Our dock has 3800 lb whips and accommodates an 18 ft. boat quite easily. We also have 2 kayaks and life jackets that you can use.
Fishing - don't forget to bring your licence, pole and bait. These can also be purchased at the Home Hardware in Coldwater.
Games - Enjoy a game of shuffleboard, peg pool or pinball while watching the game on the big screen.
Campfires - please help yourself to enough wood for a campfire or two
Winter Activities include skiing at near by resorts, sledding on the trails right off our cottage road, try on a pair of our snowshoes and head out onto the marshy areas that are layered with ice and snow for an exciting day of exploring areas way off the beaten trail. Excellent opportunities to see dear, beaver, chickadees, blue jays
